NTPA returns for its fourth appearance at the Jersey County Fair. The track will be on fire with three classes pulling for the top spot beginning on Friday, July 11, 2008 at 7 p.m. The National Tractor Pullers Association (NTPA) Grand National Pulling Circuit is the top level in the entire pulling industry. This circuit fields professional competitors from across the U.S. and Canada vying for valuable points toward an NTPA Grand National Title in their division all summer long. Three NTPA Grand National classes are on-tap for the fans to cheer on this summer in Jerseyville: 10,000 lb. Pro Stock Tractors, Super Farm Tractors and Modified Tractors. NASCAR ON DISPLAY Chapman Motor Sports is proud to put on display the race cars of Nascar legends Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Richard Petty. Come see the 1988 Goodwrench Monte Carlo owned and driven by Dale Earnhardt Sr. This was the very first Goodwrench Monte Carlo that won at Daytona in the Busch Clash and the Twin 125 mile race in 1988. The # 43 Richard Petty STP Pontiac Grand Prix is a Super Speedway car which is capable of 200+ mph. In 1984, it ran at Daytona and Talledega. It was owned by Mike Curb of Curb Records and driven by Richard Petty. Over the course of 32 years of driving the Winston Cup Racing Circuit, Petty compiled an amazing 200 victories, 7 Winston Cup titles, and 7 Daytona 500 wins.
