 NTPA
RETURNS!
NTPA returns for its fifth appearance at the Jersey County Fair. The track will be on fire with three classes pulling for the top spot beginning on Friday, July 16, 2010 at 7 p.m. The National Tractor Pullers Association (NTPA) Grand National Pulling Circuit is the top level in the entire pulling industry. This circuit fields professional competitors from across the U.S. and Canada vying for valuable points toward an NTPA Grand National Title in their division all summer long. Three NTPA Grand National classes are on-tap for the fans to cheer on this summer in Jerseyville: 10,000 lb. Pro Stock Tractors, 9,300 lb. Super Farm Tractors and 4-Wheel-Drive Trucks.
WILD WORLD OF ANIMALS
 Take a walk on the wild side with pythons, critters and pot-bellied pigs! The Wild World of Animals will be bringing amphibians, reptiles, mammals and everything in between to the 2010 Jersey County Fair. Be entertained and educated at this interactive, high-energy show. Want to hold a 13-foot, 100-pound Python? Volunteer and you just might find yourself unknowingly wearing a safari vest full of creepy critters! Stop by the Wild World of Animals Show for a few laughs, lessons and a very opinionated pig. Show dates and times to be announced.
SANCHO THE TEXAS LONGHORN
 Line right up to get your photo taken on top of Sancho, a Texas Longhorn. Sancho is not your average ordinary steer. This 2,000 pound "Gentle Giant" is the International Texas Longhorn Association 2007 Trophy Steer Grand Champion and 2007 Call of the Horns Champion. Sancho's longhorn curve measures 122 & 15/16 inches. His tip-to-tip measurement is more than 70 inches. You can climb right on his back and have your picture taken as a souvenir (small fee).
"KANDU" THE MAGICIAN
Prepare to be dazzled and delighted by the one and only "Kandu" the magician. As a county fair favorite, "Kandu" has been performing magic around the country for 20 years. With hula-hoops, balloons, buckets, butterfly nets and a few tricks up his sleeve, "Kandu" will be entertaining audiences and leaving them spellbound.
"Kandu" the magician will be performing twice daily Tuesday, July 13th through Sunday, July 18th. Show times to be announced..
PETTING ZOO
See animals from down on the farm up close and personal at the petting zoo. Animals will be on display nightly from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday. Free admission.

After 50 years of crowning county royalty, the next group of young ladies will be putting their best foot forward as they compete for the title of Jersey County Fair Queen. Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of this royal fair tradition, including the Little Miss and Junior Miss competitions. This year's queen will go on to compete in Springfield at the County Fair Convention in January.
